Tim Ferris Live next week

I like the bloke and his book's readable, but let's be honest, he's practically a Snake Oil salesman.

How the FHWW made me very successful. I still listen to it weekly. Maybe the four hour body is snake oil

Suck a dick Ferriss

HATERS.jpg

He's the man. The 4HWW changed my life. Stop hating.

he pitches case studies that are extreme examples. Doesnt mean what hes talking about is wrong and the fundamentals of 4HWW and 4HB were 100% solid good ideas. 4HWW completely changed my life and my business and im scaled way bigger now because of it.

Good on you. As I say, I liked it, but it just didn't sit right with me. In a kind of Kyosaki way, if you know what I mean. :)

4HWW started my journey, i'm drinkin' dat kool aid. I'll buy anything the creep puts out.

You should read it or just grab the audio book. I listened to it on a flight once and it was pretty good. Whats the deal with the 4 hour body thing? Is it any good?

Few hacks here and there just to prove his points. There's only a few practical advices, depends on what you need or want.

For ex, buying HGH and xRay scan outside of US is really cheap if you're willing to travel.

4HWW is pretty inspirational stuff but let's be real here, it's mostly fluff. No one making big bucks is only working four hours a week. But reading this book (also Rich Dad Poor Dad) when I was a kid really opened up my eyes to alternative lifestyles. At the time I really believed all the stuff in the book and so far it turned out pretty well for me... but does that still make him a snake oil salesman?

I've not re-read it for a while but it's still one of the best books I've ever read even though it is a bit "hypey" in places.

The value for me in the book wasn't learning how to write an ebook and sell it with AdWords, but lots of the other concepts, such as:

Geo Arbitrage - Setting up your business in a strong currency and living where you can spend earnings in a weaker one

Fear Setting - Making decisions about your future more rationally based on the likely outcome instead of the worst outcome (however unlikely).

e.g. What's the worse that can happen and how bad would that really be and for how long

Efficiency - 80:20 rule, Parkinsons Law, Automation in general

Challenging the traditional "deferred life plan" - Enjoying your youth with multiple mini-retirements rather than saving for a conventional retirement that you may never actually make it to.

I've used most of these principles in my life and I'm definitely a lot happier for it.

If you avoided the book because of the hype/guru/self-help nature of it, give it another chance and I'm sure you'll find some useful stuff in there.

Agreed! It is not absolutely revolutionary, but can really open your eyes!
