I've not re-read it for a while but it's still one of the best books I've ever read even though it is a bit "hypey" in places.
The value for me in the book wasn't learning how to write an ebook and sell it with AdWords, but lots of the other concepts, such as:
Geo Arbitrage - Setting up your business in a strong currency and living where you can spend earnings in a weaker one
Fear Setting - Making decisions about your future more rationally based on the likely outcome instead of the worst outcome (however unlikely).
e.g. What's the worse that can happen and how bad would that really be and for how long
Efficiency - 80:20 rule, Parkinsons Law, Automation in general
Challenging the traditional "deferred life plan" - Enjoying your youth with multiple mini-retirements rather than saving for a conventional retirement that you may never actually make it to.
I've used most of these principles in my life and I'm definitely a lot happier for it.
If you avoided the book because of the hype/guru/self-help nature of it, give it another chance and I'm sure you'll find some useful stuff in there.
