Toll free phone number services

I dont wanna like a dick, cause Im not trying to go there.. but are you doing this to save a couple dollars only?

I understand what you're saying, but I'm not trying to save $2-3 per month. It's more like I'd like to get $50+ dollars of service for pretty much the same price as the toktumi plan I had previously thought to use. However, as my call volume will be very light, it seemed the VPS would be quite underutilized, and that I could easily share it, if there was any interest (of which there apparently is none. I've received no PM's).

Perhaps you missed my previous post in this thread, where I stated that I signed up for toktumi just for the "Trust Mark" factor a toll-free number provides my e-commerce site. -- That's $14.95 per month

I'd also like a regular number that's neither my home nor my cell, to use as my standard business number. I want that number to appear local to a nearby city center, rather than my outlying area. -- Another $14.95 per month.

I'd like the option of call recording ("your call may be monitored or recorded"). It's not available through Toktumi, and I don't know if it can even be added via a 3rd party solution.

In the future I might like a local number in additional cities. With Toktumi each would cost $14.95 per month each additional line, each month. With my own pbx, it's just the Vitelity

Occasionally I'll want Meet-me conferencing. Toktumi's plan let's you conference with up to 20 people, but you have to add them one at a time, (place conference call on hold, place/accept call for next particpant, add to conference). Trixbox has meetme conferencing included, I'll only have to pay Vitelity inbound per minute charges. A 3rd party provider may still be a better option than using trixbox on a VPS, but I like the idea of owning the platform. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

---- I could see the value immediately, it's just that I didn't think I should spend for a VPS when it's utilization will be so low, at least at first. However, I think I just convinced myself that I'll get enough value out of it, that it doesn't matter if the installation will be so underused, I'm going for it.
