People cry at movies because there is something in them that play on a persons emotions. The death of a loved one for example. I think he was referring to the concept of someone crying because the show itself came to an end, which I would have to agree, is rather bitchish.

The show didn't come to an end... They killed off 3 characters in the last episode that have been around since the pilot. That's why people cried.
