Torrent reinvented

elaborate...?

I was an admin on a private file sharing site that charges a couple hundred a year for membership and share thousands of $$ worth of CG stuff (I try, if I use I buy), they claimed I posted exclusive content in a torrent and seeded it, I wasn't even running any torrents at the time. They verified my ip address, I can't explain it. So they kicked me. Comcast cable, it was a small site so not likely anyone near me is also a member.

it's not like "git clone" is hard for a few people to do, to keep it available.

come on matt. That would require the use of the command line.

I have used git in linux hundreds of times. I even wrote an install manual once at a former workplace years ago which used git to install their dependencies. I 'get' git.

What you're not getting is that I doubt the Monopolistic Perfect Assholes Association will give a shit.

If it's on github, which nickster was cool enough to link to above, I fear that MPAA will try to destroy their whole enterprise and imprison people behind github for the same reason they've been chasing the Pirate Bay all these years.

So I was asking you if Github is vulnerable. Sorry if it was a confusing point in the conversation to ask that.

If the movie industry did this, they could make so much fucking money but OH WAIT, they wont because they are stuck in their old ways. :C

Too inefficient. It's a lot cheaper just to bribe judges for bogus rulings than to develop and market new technologies.
