Tracking Conversions

I asked this a while ago but didn't get a response so I thought I would give it another try.

How can I track conversions if the vendor doesn't allow tracking pixels/scripts?

My guess is that they aren't going to be set up for subids either since they won't allow a pixel. I had this problem before trying to get started up with a merchant and they couldn't understand, even after months of conference calls and emails, what a pixel was, why it was needed or why/how a subid setup could be used in place.

A lot of merchants simply do not understand online marketing.

Hey threehundred...you're absolutely right...they didn't understand and they were not set up for subids. Did you guys find a resolution?

I usually use SurveyMonkey for this - it's really is the best way to track. Set it up something like this:

1. Did you see my colon berriez ad?
-Yes
-No

2. If yes, what keyword did you search for?
"TEXT BOX"

3. If yes, which ad did you see?
- Berriez Clear Your Shit!
I cleaned my whole colon with
amazing berriez. Free!

I really don't understand why they wouldn't put a <img pixel on the thank you page for you. That really doesn't make any sense. Do they just want you to not be successful?

agree with smaxor. if they say you can't place a pixel, something else is going on that they don't want you to know about.
