Anyone dealt with domains in the UK that have a trademark name in them?

Just been checking my logs and see a legal company has been eyeballing my site. After figuring out why they are probably on my site I'm guessing because part of my domain name has a trademark name in it - however it's not very obvious!

Not sure where I stand here any experience PM me thanks.

I hope you built your links through a 301. I used to get nervous when one of my sites got weekly visits from one of the biggest law firms in the world, but then I got used to it. They don't come back anymore. (the advantages of going after brand terms with a non-squatting domain)

luckily yes most of it is 301 or my own properties - funny thing is the negative seo campaigns my competitors are waging on me are to the squatted domain which i've just been told to hand over as suspected....

Time to build my own brand.

Do you have evidence for that? In my (admittedly limited) experience in ranking for brand terms, they're deceptively difficult, as often there'll be multiple news articles on the front page (Google seems to favour those for brands) with 0-10 links. However, in reality, you have to have a pretty awesome site to come up. (If you want to rank for big brands at some point)

Its was a keyword including the brand in the keyword so not the actual brand.

SGW + good content + PR releases = ranked 1st for 6 months before the brand started optimising for the keyword. Been in 2nd place ever since. Yes I do have evidence of negative SEO. Half my anchors to the squatted domain are "anal sex, gay porn, cunt" etc....
