Not bad. But I think turning $10k to $100k in 4 months with large cap stocks would be more impressive.
To be honest I think they're both equally impressive, but in different ways. For example I could in theory write some algorithms to trade OTCBB stocks and be successful at it, but it would be much harder to do that with large cap stocks. I'm going to see if I can find an OTCBB simulator and try doing that.
Writing an algorithm to detect pump and dumps would be fun.
We're all waiting till January to learn all of that and more. We've high hopes on you. MGrunin, you're the man.

You are not doing it "after the fact", unlike Tim's students** - you specified a target to reach, and are making public all of your trades.
(**Tim tried in 2008 to recreate his success, and he turned $10K+ to $90K in a little over two years.)
You don't need an algo, just subscribe to some penny stock CPA offers.
Although you can create an algo to find the top, but you really just need to look out for some bigger sell orders or major slowdowns and then short.
