If his objective was to target the LAPD , I'd say he failed.
If his goal was to kill a bunch of cops, then he failed. But if his goal was to bring attention to corruption in the LAPD and make their lives miserable for awhile he somewhat succeeded.

this shits going down about 13 miles from my mountain home. I'm actually rootin for the nig. I somehow hope the owner was a prepper and has a tunnel going out the back 1/2 mile into the w00ds. The cops have violated so many fucking laws
1. He knows something, do the cops put $1,000,000 bounties on the gangsters heads that kill people daily in california? NO
2. They put a drone on his ass? Do the fucking drones have like facial recognition software now? This opens up a whole new set of worms... Makes ya wonder.
3. I've never seen so many cops; with assault weapon and 30 round magazines. .....Wait, aren't these the cops that lit up a fucking truck the other day simply because "they thought" it was the guy when it was ladies delivering newspaper? Fucking pigs... the people "sworn to protect us", have a license to kill...
4. See # 3 (to many cops). There not letting anyone leave the mountain without searching all the cars. Isn't this a violation of the constitution?
.....I can ALMOST ASSURE YOU, he will die. Why? Not by his desire to, but simply because "he knows something"
Drive out there and tell them they ain't searching shit, and see what happens. Make sure you get it on video so we can LOL at you on youtube.

Lol, sounds like pot head paranoia.
I rarely smoke pot.
I grow it.
And when you smoke it you never inhale. Got it.
Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more.
In case you haven't noticed, I don't exactly hold much information back around here. If I smoked regularly, I'd say so.
[Updated at 11:13 p.m. ET] Los Angeles police are now contradicting media reports that a body was found in the cabin. No such thing was found in the cabin, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman told reporters moments ago, because cabin is still burning and is too hot to search.
The spokesman said the LAPD will continue to protect the LAPD officers that Dorner – accused of targeting police officers because he the LAPD fired him in 2008 – allegedly identified as potential threats in a letter made public last week.
[Updated at 10:40 p.m. ET] We're awaiting a news conference from authorities regarding today's events. Could happen quite soon.
[Updated at 10:02 p.m. ET] A body believed to be that of Christopher Dorner has been pulled from the burning cabin, multiple law enforcement sources tell CNN contributor Tom Fuentes. The sources say they were told this by LAPD.
