I used to administer a forum that had a honeypot trap.
For a while, some dweeb webmaster thought that it wasn't meant to be hidden and that it was an accident
Took us 4 days of no one signing up to try and figure out what the hell had happened.

Haha, that's great. I've gone up against captchas that are impossible to read. There was one site with such an impossible captcha, I just completely gave up after about 15 minutes of trying to decipher it. Glad to see I'm not alone.

Actually, I just had that problem today.
I went to join WarezForum to see if someone could crack a copy of Blue Market for me (gotta post 20 times before I can make a request... grrr) cause I'm too tight to pay commercial license fees.
Seriously, 18 fucking attempts to get past their captcha! I mean, I'm a bit under the weather at the moment an my eyes hurt, but I don't think it's quite that much!

That's the thing, for REALLY specific software, you generally have to make a request. I mean, I've yet to find spectrographic analysis software on torrents either, and that would save a friend of mine about $28k a year on his license fees.
