two ads i don't get it

I'm a copywriting buyer/copywriting psych master. The first picture is more genuine and that's why it does better. It's also a pattern interrupt. The second one looks stock and stock images suck balls when you use them in your copy.

hey thanks!
You mean the new ads? because it's black and then red?
or in the old ads that sell the most? because it's a city and then all of a sudden a phone case?

hmm I will try to make the second one look unstockier.
may I ask why they don't work so well?
Maybe this is the same reason (opposite) why the first images I made are still the most effective even though they look very clumsy.

now it's a pretty unprofessional, unclean picture/image.
god it's not even straight.

yet it gets more sales (up to 5x) than any other more professional picture I made.
Also gets more clicks (higher ctr 4%) on FB.

Think of this as the pattern interrupt, which should increase CTR and add some credibility to your ad since it seems more genuine than a stock photo. Just keep creating ads like the first one and if nothing else maintain a good CTR which is what you want on FB.

Says the guy who cant convert over 1%... JUST KIDDING BABE GET ON SKYPE.

There's one single reason because your ugly pictures convert better:

Your targeted audience is retarded as fuck. People buying phone cases with their national flags on it are usually lowlife faggots.

Edit:
On a more serious note and to add something to skohs post, what's your audience like? I bet it's the 13 year old east european wannabe ghetto gangsta kid that likes that ghetto style more than the professional, more corporate stuff.

Brb ordering 10,000 flag iPhone cases from China

Red and sloppy = money
Clean and different colors = less money

actually my best selling item was the blue sloppy one.

if anyone really wondering why flags, it's because it's easy to target them in FB.
i'm guessing any sport franchise cases/hats/shirts would convert at higher rates but possible trademark issues.
the flags aren't protected

Be careful what you share about your campaigns, a lot of people been had cases on here.

Don't kid yourself the red is still there. It's from the bright sun light hittin the side of building.

Btw I'm not saying red is goin to be best seller. Only that ads w red typically convert a bit better. Blue or green is typically right behind.

Inb4 iPhone flag market is saturated, and OP been had massive inventory unable to unload

Edit: I been had Facebook ads

I've done some experimentation with a few products - lifestyle vs. sterile traditional product shots with white backgrounds.

Grittier lifestyle shots tend to sell pretty well. I personally think people are sort of desensitized to product photos and want to see something they know is "real", and I strive to do a lot of amateurish shots. With our ecig brand we spend a lot of time on instagram and that is profoundly more effective than any other social network we use. Those images get us a constant stream of interest.

It's great to see these real world tests, thanks for posting.

There's this really cool national symbol I've seen, that's like a cross, but with 'arms' coming out of each leg of the cross and going to the right. I can't remember who uses it though - it was in a lot of old films. Maybe give that one a try?
