Two of my employees got killed today.

Isnt this thing scarring you? I mean, dont you need someone around u right now? Dont mean to be gay, but this kinda of shit needs to be given attention. It can lead to serious damage.

It appears the shooter had his targets planned in advance, so unless you knew her and/or her step-son you were probably in the clear.

Not trying to be insensitive, I'm from L.A. so shootings are pretty common to me.

While on scene officers said they received information that the suspect, Pedro Rodriguez, 50, of Cleveland shot Morales in the parking lot and then took her employee identification card to enter the ParkOhio Products building.

I used to work in management in the auto industry and we did a lot of layoffs - always worried some crazy fuck would come in shooting. Had some run-ins, but nothing I couldn't handle and I'm grateful for that. Life is more precious than many people realize.
 
Meditation can help a lot. Study showed Marines in Iraq suffered a lot les from PTSD if they meditated regularly prior to being deployed. Probably will have a positive effect on you too.

My best friend's wife witnessed a school shooting in Montreal. She was just meters away from the shooter. He raised the weapon to shoot her and at the last second a cop distracted him. Mentally she's amazing, no problems at all. Prolly cuz she's from Chechnya. I'd probably be traumatized for life. Anyways, good luck!

P.S: Dunno about U.S but in Canada you could take a VERY long sick leave after shit like that...
 
In the US you'd be lucky to get 1 day off after that and if you did it was because the police needed the day to investigate the crime scene. Fuck the US government. I'm so fucking happy that I work for myself. If I had to work for someone else I'd just kill myself and get it over with.
 
I moved to the US 4 years ago, and I almost got shot on my freaking first day here. Shit was crazy man, glad you're okay.
 
thanks, i'm ok. my wife and i were trying to keep this incident from my younger boys who are 8 and 9. we thought they really don't need to worry about me when i leave everyday.

so then yesterday a local newspaper delivery guy has the nerve to ask my boys all about the people that got killed at my work! he knows i worked there and when my boys were playing he told them all about it! what a prick!!
 
Man, thats gotta be rough, I agree that its important to step back and count the blessings we have once in a while.
