Ok, time for some 'tough love' here...

If you weren't even able to 'feel' that she wasn't into marrying you -- how could you possibly know if she was cheating or not?

If you have been dating a girl for 9 yrs and she hasn't even hinted around or given any clues that she would like you to propose then she never wanted to marry you.

Until you learn to accept the reality of the situation - nobody here can help you. This isn't a complicated situation and I think everyone here has given you great advice. I'll put things into a simple perspective for you.

Your girlfriend wanted a man in her relationship, not a best friend. Nor did she want a guy who's pathetic enough to "wait for her" or who will even accept her back after she rejected your wedding proposal and left you. She told you she wanted to break up with you a year ago. There is nothing to fix, nothing you can do, other than pick yourself up, learn from your mistakes and make yourself a better man.

My point that I was trying to get across is that she checked out of the relationship a year ago and you didn't have the intuition to even figure that out.

Eduardo gave some excellent advice. It's going to be a tough road ahead but the sooner you come down to reality the faster you are going to recover and move on.

Ya no kidding. How are you going to know if shes getting plowed on her desk at work? You can't spend time with her all hours of the day, it's impossible. Most women cheat, especially most American women. American culture is getting more fucked up by the second, blame it on Britney Spears and those glamarous tramps from Desperate Housewives.

This is the reason I got myself a virgin catholic latina. More respect, more trust, not slutty American girl = Less of a chance of getting cheated on.

I agree that the media is having a negative impact on women, especially American women, but I don't necessarily think getting with a virgin is a viable alternative. If it works for you, then great. But a virgin is exactly the type that's going to get curious in a couple years and wonder what she might be missing out on. At that point you have to just let her go, and she will most definitely come back (if you truly let her go). Of course, the paradox is that you won't want her back after she has sowed her wild oats. Or at least you shouldn't.
