Buying a .info is like buying domain name with dashes.

Waste of time and money, takes 10x more effort to rank with.

Quite disagree, I have had excellent results with domains with dashes, the key is searching for good keywords.

Some of the highest traffic natural sites in a niche I deal in (a pretty darn high traffic niche) have 2 or more dashes in the name.
