I've already did one year of psychology at a university so I only have two more years till I get a degree. I'm thinking of maybe switching to business ( which will take 3 and a half years to complete ) or just say fuck it all and travel the world for a few years and then go back to college maybe or I dunno. In the long run the business degree is probably more useful. I just wanna be happy:)

So many choices

Exactly. Paradox of choice. Which is the right way? Nobody knows probably.

You won't have a degree with a fuck if it's in psych and it's not a phd. Business will at least get you a $35k a year job out of school. :xmas-smiley-010:

and remember if you just say "fuck it" you will never go back and will probably wind up flipping burgers the rest of your life

Flipping burgers is not the only option for people who do not have a degree:D Haha.
$35k out of college slaving for a company. Dunno, Neither option sounds good. None is perfect.:(

If a liberal arts degree is like toilet paper, then a business degree is a paper towel. Possibly an upscale one. Aim high and shoot for med school or something. If you fail you could still go for a nursing or pharmacy or chiropractic degree or sumthin - all (relatively) stable and secure prospects. You'll have plenty of time to travel after you have an income (backpacking on a budget gets old fast. Trust me).

Don't switch to business major unless you want to major in accounting or finance. Get a psychology degree and try getting summer internships at a firm, or try to get a minor in business. Psychology degree is pretty worthless, but if you go to a good school you can save yourself via a summer internship.

In the long run, what do you want to do? If you want to work for someone else, business degree. If you want to run your own business, stay your course, finish with psyc. Firstly, get your degree done, I hear too many people talking about how they only have 15 hours left on a degree but didn't finish.

-I would like to travel like a nomad, cheaply, freely, without any rules ... to experience the world and for adventure and to improve my social skills. I think it may be better to do that before college, because if I start college then I think it would be the best to focus on it 100% and build my career (and do IM on the side possibly). I don't know if it is a good idea to start college then after I get my degree and have the knowledge , then go to travel for a year or two. I would forget a lot I think. What do you think?

-I love learning languages - what is that good for? How can you make the most money if you speak let's say 5-10 languages? I speak 3 now. On a quest to learn a 4th in a few months.

I'd rather do a decent psych degree. I did some business modules with my computing degree many years ago, and they just appeared to be common sense.

I guess some employers might like a business degree, but I've never had a job so I wouldn't know.

dmnEPC: "Before colllege" - I meant that before starting the business degree. I did one year of psych a year ago and I could continue that. I'm not studying.ATM.

I don't know what it's like with Psych and Business degrees but most people I know are getting $120,000+/yr job offers coming out of college.
