It's just an embedded youtube video, from testing, it's not so much important about adding a backlink from it... But it has been observed that by embedding a youtube video into a post, it's sort of like bot bait and helps the page get crawled/indexed faster. That's the only significance of it, of course, having the link in the description helps and as you know, it's important to have a few nofollow links... That's what the wikis are for as well.
Thanks! Yeah, it's been a method that has been working through every update... I got a PR4 and just bought a PR6 for free blog links, zingos bit, so hopefully that will be added in soon as well, for that extra, sweet honey nectar link juice!
