incrementa offers = bids. but seriously what the fuck do i care... :D good luck w/ domain.

It's kind of a "domainers" thing. There are basically three types of threads where ppl list what they have for sale on domaining forums:

* "Offers Wanted" threads like this one (basically "everything goes" threads, no fancy rules)
* "Fixed Price" threads
* Auction threads (where you gotta specify a start/end date and lots of other stuff because if you don't, you're gonna get loved tenderly)

If you want to organize everything as an auction, you have to specify things like increments (for example, let's say $100). Here's how things would work if you were to start an auction thread:

1) Starting bid: $1,000
2) The offers: $1,100/$1,200/$1,300/$1,400/..............................

On the other hand, here's how things work w/ "Offers Wanted" threads:

1) Minimum offer: $1,000
2) The offers: $1,000/$1,500/$2,500/$2,750/.....

In theory (Sedo is a good example), the main difference is represented by the fact that, as far as auction threads are concerned, you gotta play by the rules (most people don't respect the rules so yeah, "Offers Wanted" and auction threads end up representing pretty much the same thing). Retarded, I know, but I gotta be a "domainers" this time :anon.sml:

Finally someone comes in with a great domain at a reasonable asking price. Usually we only get the retarded amateur domainers who are wanting 50k for theseshoesaresweet.org. Unfortunately 2.5k and the costs that'll go into dev and marketing are a bit too much for me atm. Good luck on your sell!

Thanks man, I'm definitely pricing it to sell and appreciate the fact that people respected my approach and didn't lowball me to death :)

Fuck. I don't care. But it's bugging me... Fine - it's an "Offers" thread:

Offers should have a minimum acceptable offer (just a suggestion, not required), unless you really don't care what kind of offers you get. Often I've seen "Make offer" and then a potential buyer posts "I offer $50" and the seller gets offended at such a low offer. If you think your item is worth $500 and don't want to deal with low offers, then post your minimum acceptable offer.

And like fucking clockwork SEO_Mike gets all wishy washy making minimum acceptable offer a suggestion instead of a requirement. FUCK! Just kidding Mike - y'know your tops in my book. But seriously, an "offers" thread can live on forever (and keep popping up in my "New Posts" feed).

Regardless...

Fucking domainers. ;) Good luck w/ the newsletter listing.

I've contacted the highest bidder and the domain will be sold within 24-48 hours if I don't receive a better offer. If you want upgrades.net, post your offer here or PM me.

whats the highest bid at???

$2,750 but the thing is, he can't pay everything at once. He wants to send a certain amount now and then continue w/ small monthly payments. The guy is legit but I'd rather sell upgrades.net to someone who can pay me right away. So if you can match his offer and pay now, you'll officially be the highest "bidder". Actually, I'll even accept $2,500 as a better offer if you can send teh monies now.
