Does anyone know of a decent source of urban PPC traffic? I know PoF has a targeting option for it, but I'd prefer it from a more music/hip hop type site versus dating.

Free boobs for your time:

Check out worldstarhiphop.com, mediatakeout.com, allhiphop.com, theybf.com...you won't find ppc traffic, but see if you can negotiate a test media buy, those sites have all the urban traffic you need.

And get some boobies fast!

I know this is Dolla's game, but I'm sure there's room for the both of us :D. Has anyone ever worked with worldstarhiphop.com, mediatakeout.com, allhiphop.com, or theybf.com before - as in - how much is one of these test media buys usually?

By 'urban', you mean targeting cities? Oh wait, you mean you're tapdancing around the phrase "black people". FYI not all people in that demographic are "urban" - this is possibly the worst naming concept for a group ever, in order to be overly PC

I don't think urban should mean just black people. People who are into urban things have similar tastes. A person between 15 and 30 that likes Lil Wayne probably also likes Escalades, hot bitches. Lebron, grape drink (over juice), stacking paper and there's at least a 50% chance they like weed too. That goes for white, black and any other race.

Or, to be more afilliate specific, those same sites that target them can be used to promote Karmaloop, Kicksbay, Rent-A-Rim, Biz Opps, PG-13 to X rated dating and more.

Urban by age, sex and geographic breakdowns can target very specific yet racially diverse groups of people with similar tastes.

The tastes begin to separate in their 30's, and you need more research to target correctly, so be careful.

No one's tap dancing here. It's just a name for a type of traffic that definitely exists. Have you ever been to Mediatakeout? It will shatter any misconception you have about there not being an urban website.

Not our fault 95% of them are black

Haha - What a fucking douchebag. Rogerrabbit just neg repped for outing his traffic source when I mentioned BlackPlanet...

With an Alexa ranking under 3000 I'm pretty sure most people are aware of them. If not:

Attention all media buyers. If you have any campaigns that do well with an "urban" audience, you can't go wrong with BlackPlanet.com. I will even provide a contact there for you so you can get the best CPM's imaginable if you PM me. Their traffic converts yo!

Enjoy your new competition, douche.

Cant Post links on World Star, allhiphop worked for me in the past, but im over that, until they started cockblocking

Mediatakeout is cool as well, but its to hard to catch in the mornings. If you wanna do the comment-and-go technique, keep refreshing the post around 10 or so, try your best to keep up fam

you could probably get some of the things you're looking for on adgroups.com, blackvoices.com (aol's black voices channel)

I've worked with all those sites, had campaigns that banked hard, and some that bombed. Try out Worldstar, hit up Q, ask for his rate card, and then beat him up on it, you'll get a test buy out of him...and wheres thoes boobies???

Since when does Wickedfire out traffic sources - no matter how obvious they are?

Traffic sources have never been an issue, it's ads/LP's we don't out. We've had countless threads on here dedicated to traffic sources (POF, Facebook, Pulse 360, aol, AdBlade, ask, LeadImpact, TrafficVance, all of the major and 2nd tier search engines, etc).
