US Fires Missiled Into Libya

Your not. U.S, France and U.K

I think only the US and UK are bombing, france and canada(italy? or is that just were they are stationed) also have jets enforcing the no fly zone.

Also to note, Obama has stated there will be no ground troops sent in (of course i imagine this could change under certain circumstances)

Oh i thought the French were bombing too since they were so gun-hoe about it in the first place. yeah you can't trust anything Obama says, he changes every 5 mins. However, I don't think there will be a need for ground troops, the rebels seem strong enough to finish the job.

Sure hope you're right... If not, I sure hope we spot Gadhafi on a sattelite and only spend the price of one more missile at his current location to end this shit... & not drag it out for a decade again.

I don't want to argue politics, but I thought I'd chime in with something that this [situation in Libya] instantly reminded me of. This may speak to the people who think this will lead to a "World War III" scenario.

1999 NATO bombing of Yugoslavia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kosovo War

That is all.
And this is exactly why I oppose it, I'm sure there is a lot more going on in Libya than the western media is telling us. It's never that simple and one sided. I was there in 99 and there sure was more going on than fox news would tell you.

Just like the Sadam argument, apparently he killed 5.000 people, so world police rides in to save the innocent and since than 150.000 people were killed and are still killing each other. Hate to say it but they needed someone like Sadam to control the situation.

A little off-topic, but check this out from here:

Quite a few members of Congress are not happy with President Obama over his decision to allow U.S. air attacks in Libya. They feel they weren't given any say in the whole matter…which they weren't. And the criticism of the president is coming in from everywhere.

Republican Congressman Ron Paul of Texas says the no-fly zone is unconstitutional. Liberal Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich from Ohio has brought up the idea of impeachment hearings for President Obama's actions. No surprise there... but it's not just the far right and the far left up in arms. Moderates like Democratic Senator and former Navy Secretary Jim Webb and Republican Senator Richard Lugar, the ranking Republican member of the Foreign Relations Committee. They aren't happy with the president either.

Yesterday the President sent an official letter to Congress asserting his authority to make the decision on Libya based on the Constitution and War Powers Resolution. The letter said he was acting in the "national security and foreign policy interests of the United States."
Good grief. The state can justify a lot of heinous actions under the cause of "national security and foreign policy interests of the United States."

The fact that POTUS is getting blowback is great, but common. Won't amount to much.
