About 2 years ago I switched from google news to a twitter feed as my daily news source. Now I feel that I am aware of important events, days if not weeks, before my friends or people I work with are. The switch has also shown me just how much news never makes it into the mainstream media.

I decided to put together a list of a few of the sources I am following for news and to share them with those of you who also use twitter for your headlines. If you have any suggestions for other people / organizations that I should follow I'd love to hear them!

Not a hater, just trollin bro. But I do hate tweeter- just a visceral reaction to that fuckin site, I dunno...

I only use it for getting traffic to the site, but I've considered using it for the exact purpose OP was talking about except I would get more web people in the list. No friends. Just information sources

is this a troll post?

what is the difference of visiting 234234 twitter feeds to get news VS 20234234 news feeds?

The only upside I can see is that Twitter is far more 'instant' for local and regional news + not as censored/swayed/slanted by political BS.
