The players use a union to negotiate their share of the pie. If the owners are willing to pay that freely (without taxes) why not?
I think you guys need to look past the Postal Workers, and the big corporation Unions. I don't think you are seeing the other side of Union Workers... Such as your Career Firefighters, Police Officers, and any other public safety personnel.
