yeah they want 6,000$ for it. I think I will just make my own website doing the same thing they do, with a similarly named site and take them over in like a few months, that way I will learn how to do it and save lots of cash.

That depends. How much money will you spend getting the rank and how much money will you forgo by not getting those 40k visitors for the next few months like you could have if you bought the site?
