I have an iPhone now which I like, but at&t blows ass and I can't even get service in my office. I have a Verizon plan running and I love Verizon, so I may just get the Voyager and cut my at&t plan.
I want to check it out because I really need a new phone. I'm actually typing this on the iphone I just gave my girl for christmas but so far it seems like too much of a toy to get any real work done on it for me. I guess time will tell.
I would also check out the blackberry world edition verizon has. I have it and when I got it a few weeks back it was either that or the voyager, and the blackberry had way more cool things. But, you can't get AIM and Yahoo and MSN on the blackberry you have to buy a application for like 50 bucks and I think the voyager comes with those.
I was looking at the Verizon Voyager as well, but I really don't like the fact that its a proprietary system. Much smaller selection of apps then you would find on any Windows Mobile or Symbian phone.
Sprint HTC Touch looks really good . Does anyone have it?
I'm in need of a new phone too. With Google announcing it's Android, I'm sure it'll get moving pretty quickly and soon enough there will be a firmware hack or something similar to run a full-blown Android-OS on your voyager.
maybe it's just me.. but I tried the voyager at the verizon both the day it came out. It's touch screen fucking sucks, I'd probably end up killing myself with how poor it is. I had to press the buttons like 3 times, it just doesn't feel right. I ended up getting a blackberry world edition, it's a nice phone . I do have sweaty hands, maybe that's why the touch screen didn't work for me :|
Friend has one, and while it is not as stylish as the iphone from the little time a tested it out it seemed very functional. (Also, didn't notice any touchscreen issues)
I played around with it at the store and having an iPhone, the touch screen on the Voyager is worse. You have to press a lot harder to actually select something, and the entire menu/feel just doesn't feel as "right" as the iPhone does.
Not sure if that will stop me from buying one, AT&T service is pathetic where I live and Verizon rocks.
