Hey, I'm a newbie to the affiliate world and have been doing a bit of research here and there and I was thinking about testing waters with a site orientated towards youtube videos. For example having X amount of embedded youtube videos for Y niche. I really haven't heard much about people doing this, only seen it a few times, and I was planning on using it more to help me learn site building, scripting and such.

But I was curious if its legal to use embedded youtube videos on your site with ads around them?

Or if it would be better just to work around a niche and create a few videos of your own doing for the targeted traffic? If it would even help at all?

Been googling and using the search function and surprisingly haven't found anything on this, or if any ones had luck with videos in general.

As far as I know you can embed YouTube videos on your site provided you use the YouTube embed code links. Be sure to NOT use videos that violate the TOS of YouTube as they will be removed and you will then have dead embeds on your site.

If you downloaded the videos with something like Down Load Manager and then hosted them directly on your server without the YouTube links you could run into some problems.

If your site is setup right with the relevant videos for your articles/offers it could be a viable model for you.

If you do decide to create your own videos or want a few more sources for video, here's link to an article with some more sources. It also has a few articles related to what you are looking to do.

I'll defiantly be trying out some video techniques now.
