Videos from TSA Opt-Out Day

I always opt out of the xray machine and get groped... north america is just doing it wrong...some dude touching you.
In china they have a fairly hot chick working the wand, and she puts her hands all over you, even inside your belt loop. I checked my ticket and it is free i didn't see an extra charge for it.

I always opt out too. They try to "make me conform". "Are you sure you want to do this? It could take a long time, it's intrusive and you might miss your flight" I'm like: I've got 2 hours until boarding. I'm good.

It's really a pain in the ass for them because they have to find two agents and a room since I refused to be frisked in public.

You win. I am happy to get frisked in public (not just at the airport).

No they're not. I thought they didn't have them here until yesterday, flight from Amsterdam -> London, had to go through a body scanner. Would've opted out, but by the time I realised I was gonna go through one I'd pretty much missed the opportunity, and only saw the metal detector when I came out.

You sure if was the American style one? Different to a simple metal detector. I went through Amsterdam Schipol recently and didn't see one.

People have been petitioning the powers that be ever since the body scanners were implemented. Why hasn't anything changed? Because the law makers don't give a shit what you and I think.

Also, who's harassing who? I only watched the Adam Vs the Man, but the only people doing the harassing were the cops.

Actually they do, especially on issues that don't affect their their power. I agree things that maintain the status quo will not change. But this could. They would change TSA if American's REALLY cared, but they don't. A small vocal minority doesn't sway elections.

I opt out every time and have had no hassle from it.

And seriously, if you are going to harass TSA guys, why not harass the director, or stage a protest outside the airport? Why go in and harass the lowest possible level employees who have zero power over the decision making? How about make the scanner employees aware of the high risk of cancer their jobs propose. Help them affect change instead of polarize them against it. Maybe even get some doctors to sign shit.

Even IF the agents deserve it, and not all do, the whole effort seems like a misguided ego trip, without any vision, organization or purpose in execution other than to annoy a very small number of people and entertain an equally small number.

PS. I can assure you, if we had this against the TSA/Irak/Afganistan/NDAA/etc, it would change if only a little, at the very least, it would be a major topic and something political figures would look at to sway votes their way:

Fuck, quoted, half-typed a message, then Firefox crashed.

Yep, as far as I can tell it was. It definitely wasn't a standard metal detector, it was a plastic sphere, you walk in, put your feet on these 2 spots, and your hands on this pillar, bending over. They press a button, and you walk through after that. There were metal detectors by the side, but they were fenced off.

None of this nonsense at Stansted or Gatwick fortunately, haven't been to Heathrow in the last 18 months though.

I would of course opt out and get a firm free massage from some strong hands.

I've found it's only fun in America. Something about the tips ;)

To my knowledge, in the UK you can't opt-out anyway.
That was the case last year, not sure if it's changed since.
