The files are changed now. The above way doesn't work any longer. So it appears they have gone to the paid model. Can't download anything now, or even play it from the main page.

Since shows are produced so rarely on there any more, it's not worth $30 a month. To some new affiliates, that is a lot of money. I may have paid back when you had at least a half dozen new shows a week. And twice when I have gone to the "sign up" page, it didn't work. That killed any confidence I had in it. I'm not giving CC information to the people there for a site that has been so error ridden for years.

This is dumb as it should kill any ad revenue as well. So now someone has to pay to hear shows to get you pumped up about SES, Affiliate Summit, AdTech, etc? And what company employee just getting started is going to either pay or get reimbursed for something unknown? And in turn, they don't get motivated to get money for a conference.

I noticed Shoemoney disappeared around the time of the start of the paid model. Same with a few other long time show hosts. It's now more of a gimmick to sell old out of date information. Talent shouldn't give it all up to just those that host it. Shoemoney, Shawn Collins, Danny Sullivan, Monte and others should just host their own podcasts. They'd get more listeners than this new paid scam. Hell, put them on YouTube or such and let them pay the bandwith.

It's too bad because I really liked WebmasterRadio. It's been kinda boring since Shoe stopped doing shows though. Same with Rush Hour. That show was pretty interesting too. They should just go back to the free model.

The ShoeMonday show was probably the worst, actually. They guy needs to brush up on his interview skills or *gasp* actually try giving some affiliate marketing tips.

Rush Hour was also pretty bad. The show just didn't flow and they didn't talk about anything relevant. Sometimes I felt like I was listening in on a call between some high school boys who really like digg.

Anyway, I'm seeing that you can still get to the mp3 directly. Take a URL that looks like this:

The Rockstars talk to us about the marketing potential of Twitter and "Twitter-Gate'

and change it to this:

http://audio.webmasterradio.fm/Podcast/Twitter-and-its-Marketing-Potential.mp3

That format should work for the entire site.
