What am i doing wrong these days?!

Geez it's like lately I cant rank sites like i used to last year!

What i'm doing?

0. build site, add products with seo'd image name, descriptions & wait for 7 days until all indexes itself
1. 5000 words of unique content
2. drip 500 words of that 5000 words each day
3. directory submissions before i start the big boy packages like 40 unique written blog posts, and all the social media stuff

however for past few months it seems as if im stuck at 3 and the sites get all indexed up and stuff but it does not rank... or it starts ranking up to top 5 pages of my maion search terms then gets kicked back to pg 7 and does not move up meaning it's penalized even when i continue with the muscle link building

what am i doing wrong?

I don't know why everyone in this thread is giving you such a hard time OP. There's lots of bad advice in this thread, and you'd do your best to ignore most of it, to be honest (although I'm sure you're not stupid, so you're well aware of that!).
