What do you hate/despise about this industry

I'm sure I've been guilty of this before but now that I got a little more knowledge under my belt I really dislike how people want you to hand over some big secret when the "big secret" isn't so big and isn't so secret.

But my biggest "dislike" is when I see people come here, try to get exact step by step guides from those who have been successful, then get pissed off when it isn't handed to them on a silver platter.

AM or IM? I can speak to IM. Stuff I hate:

1) Self-proclaimed "industry-experts" who do shitty work and give a bad name to the rest of us
2) Google's huge importance and their ability to make a site sink or swim with arbitrary algo changes
3) The fact that SEO can be outsourced so easily
4) Social media guruism
5) Traditional ad agencies and in-house corporate suits who don't understand interactive

I have a love / hate relationship with the Google. I hate being dependent on G for traffic, but it is what it is and I deal. That and not getting paid are my only two erks about this biz.

Aside from that, this is the biggest fucking gravy train of a job I've ever seen. Make your own hours. Make as little or as much money as you want to put the time into earn. How can it get better than that?

Waking up in the morning and seeing that otherwise good sites with good, consistent content, and good , consistent links have been hurled deep into the serps. Then continuing to build without any monetary reward and waiting, waiting waiting . . . FUCK GOOGLE.

specific to IM:

1. not getting paid by clients
2. people reading BS theories posted by so called SEO guru's and thinking they know more then me and have 0 experience themselves.

specific to AM:
1. the hoards of lazy affiliates AND networks that copy and steal your campaigns/ads/kws/lps
2. not getting paid via the network, who is suppose to be the buffer
3. advertisers shutting down or changing their lp/offer without notice
4. AM's that only push the flavor of the month

Also, I hate having to explain what I do for a living.

Now I just tell people i'm unemployed.

The invasion of MLM

Really dumb people with big egos

Corpotization where it's extremely inefficient

Fucking shit I hate MLMers with a passion.

We once built some POS mlm software (all mlms are pos doesn't matter how good the software is) and some MLMer told us "You're not thinking like an MLMer. You're thinking logically!". After that day I wanted to throw every mlmer in a vat acid.

I hate that there are only 24 hours in a day and only one of me.

I'm grateful everyday and the issues like stability, lazy affiliates, shitty networks not paying etc are mild annoyances when you look at the big picture. There are so many different ways to make money online once you understand the online ecosystem, and that is some really rewarding shit.

Same here, and it doesn't help that on most days I look so unemployed. lulz

I hate not knowing stuff and the constant state of confusion I was in for a long time about the business. People promoting online need to be constantly learning — even if they think they know everything.

Frankly, I love a lot of things about it, and everything changes when you get past the confusion and see the big picture. ;)

I hate this asshole named Ryan Eagle. He's a fucking toolbag that lives in a 93k home that's claiming to be a baller because he marketed acai in 2008.

I love Ryan Eagle. When I have kids I want them to be just like him,

Money
Car
Clothes
Bitches

oh and people that say "uhh teach me how to make money".
and staying up late at night.

Hate fucktard spammers. Hate Google's monopoly. Hate WAFOs.

^^genius --- if you say you're unemployed they won't immediately say "teach me how to do that"

I'm in this situation every week now. If they're some peasant dumbass/hater, I most often say the most rediculous shit to throw em off. If they're an intelligent person or good to have in your network, I'll be honest. If they don't care until they see the money, fuck em, when they ask for tips tell them to use windows 95 because it's better for aff marketing.
