What do you have to fall back on?

IT Degree specialized in programming. Highly doubt I'd ever want to go back to that tho.
more and more, a gross majority of programming majors end up outsourcing the actual programming to eastern hands, while they concentrate on clients and closing deals. programming skill has become a commodity. in this time where highly profitable apps are written below <$1k one-off in india, ph and china.... it doesn't quite make sense to take a 9-5 and do the same job on monthly wage. instead, take the job, but pay someone in in/ph/cn and get ready for project #2 the next day. <-- is how many of them end up working.

Run a web dev/marketing business that's doing reasonably well - if that goes tits up, bankruptcy and a life of living with my parents/on the streets drinking my own piss

lol how about online marketing/media buying? Affiliate marketing is such a small part of the game; if it went away I'd stay right here in the same industry.

In the spring of 1519 a Spanish fleet set sail
Cortez told his sailors this mission must not fail
On the eastern shore of Mexico they landed with great dreams
But the hardships of the new world made them restless and weak
Quietly they whispered, lets sail back to the life we knew
But the one who led them there was saying

Burn the ships, we're here to stay
There's no way we could go back
Now that we've come this far by faith
Burn the ships, we've past the point of no return
Our life is here
So let the ships burn

In the spring of new beginnings a searching heart set sail
Looking for a new life and a love that would not fail
On the shores of grace and mercy we landed with great joy
But an enemy was waiting to steal, kill and destroy
And quietly he whispers, go back to the life you knew
But the one who led us here is saying

Burn the ships, we're here to stay
There's no way we could go back
Now that we've come this far by faith
Burn the ships, we've past the point of no return
Our life is here
So let the ships burn

Nobody said it would be easy
But the one who brought us here
Is never gonna leave us alone

Burn the ships, we're here to stay
There's no way we could go back
Now that we've come this far by faith
Burn the ships, we've past the point of no return
Our life is here
So let the ships burn
So let the ships burn
Let them burn
Let the ships burn

Actually returning from my leave this year to wrap up my degree, plenty of options in the workplace then (still got a full-time offer from an internship I did). I know I can't do a job again though, that's for sure.. I want the feeling back, making more in a day than some do in a year. I'm so hungry for it. It'll take me decades to hit that point with a job. So with that out of the picture...

If affiliate income went to zilch, would probably just snatch a few franchises for passive income.. Continue scaling random online projects I have at the side with most of my time. Do some commodities' trading. Pimp a few high-class whores. Maybe join Daddy's business. Regardless, plenty of ways to make more millions without becoming a slave '9-5' boy.
