What does a Trillion dollars look like?

That is a very realistic representation; the mirrors are placed so well, I can't even see them.

And it only took Obama 50 days to spend what took Bush 8 years - so WTF is your point?

Going a little crazy with your numbers, aren't you? I don't think anywhere near 5.3 trillion has been spent by America in last 50 days. You shouldn't believe everything you read in those government grant blogs.

My point? My point is somebody mentioned the debt and I threw out some statistics.

And why the fuck are you getting your panties in such a wad? Did I make up a number? No, I stated a verifiable fact. Even Republican congressional leaders publicly acknowledge that their budgets/spending drifted away from their principles. If you're going to get pissed off at anybody, get mad at the fuckers who spent the money (not me, btw).

I've spent more than that trying to get my Acai campaign profitable.

If you're going to gripe about my numbers, you'd better be able to back yours up as well.

And yes, I'm pissed at ALL of the politicians. I'm a conservative and am getting tired of all this spending on both sides of the political spectrum, Dems and GOP idiots alike. Screw them along with Obama.

Mine are totally backed by the full faith of the American Treasury Department. Or all mighty wiki.

How about yours?

Don't make the mistake of looking in the rear view mirror. It doesn't work for stocks and it won't work for our deficit. Using your number of 5.3 trillion, that pales in comparison to the 3.6 trillion Obama will spend EACH YEAR (and those numbers come from his own boys).

It's simple math dude. The interest alone will make the Bush Presidency's (including the Democratic Congress) wartime spending pale in comparison.

I love your contributions on the board but you're full of shite on this issue and it looks like you're just spitting out bs you've heard on whatever talk radio show. You're confusing facts. I was talking about total national debt. The search you linked to (btw: linking to a search rather than an actual source is pretty lazy and makes me think you didn't actually read any of those articles) number you referenced is the annual budget (only a portion of which is deficit spending that contributes to increasing the debt).

Bush's 2008 Federal Budget was $2.9 trillion and didn't include the funding for Iraq and Afghanistan because he hid that cost off the books in emergency supplemental appropriations. Third-party estimates put the cost of the on the ground war in the $200 billion neighborhood for 2008. That totals up Bush's final year in office budget at about $3.1 trillion, which doesn't seem that far off from the Obama proposed number of $3.6 that you're so outraged about. FYI: Obama's new budget puts the cost of the war in the actual budget so we won't have to rely on estimates.

I mean, it's fine to support who you want to support politically (or oppose). I don't expect facts to get in the way.

This thread has already gone somewhere we didn't mean it to. I'm going to be putting up boobs for my 100th post. As a show of respect and goodwill I am willing to entertain requests/recommendations for size, hair color, ethnicity, etc.

I linked to a search result so as to give you the luxury of choosing which political bias (one way or the other) to base the findings on whether it be FOX or MSNBC.

Honestly yes, I am lazy, I've been pretty busy lately and the desire to accomplish my daily tasks usurp my desire (or lack thereof) to sway the opinion of someone I do not even know in a forum.

Plump (not the bodies) & blonde, sprinkled with an occasional Asian or two please.

Never the less the government is spending way too much $$$ and America can't sustain it.

More so now, states are letting the feds know they won't pay the bill when they're bankrupt.
