I hope he doesn't mind me sharing, but Anand had a stroke last year, which I'm assuming is at least part of the reason he hasn't been around. If anyone has talked to him in the past few months I would be really happy to hear it.

That's unfortunate that he turned out that way. It could have been for any number of reasons. He certainly wasn't a career criminal like others have been. I could speculate but that's totally pointless. Seems many of you have done that already. Bottom line, if he did scam, which, it kinda does seem like that... When we open the forum in the morning, we see in the list of new posts more and more new bullshit from the same idiots and also new idiots, and it really kills the wish to open it and read and participate. If I may offer a humble suggestion, that red actually does mean dead.
What I mean by that is an automated process that will ban any account that has red bricks for more than say 30 days.
It would help to take some of the work load off management of the forum, since the members of WF are pretty good at red bricking spam accounts.
And if it was automatic then mods or yourself wouldn't need to constantly monitor the site to keep the shit from building up.
I looked around and there doesn't seem to be plugins for this specifically but I would be happy to write one if needed, and of course have it peer reviewed to make sure I wasn't rooting WF.
I'd say 14 days is good enough time for them to 'unred' their account.
Jon, I have raised this suggestion before. Mods selling services on BST can abuse their power. So a member cannot be a seller and a mod at the same time:
1. A mod who wants to start selling BST cannot open a sales thread until he is demoted
2. A seller who is nominated to become a mod, cannot do so until his sales thread is closed and cannot open another sales thread (refer to 1).
I am sure this will probably happen.
However, given 2 weeks, the member who is of any value should be able to get other members to rep them out of red. I am against immediately banning for red bricks.
vadym, you need to be "red-bricked" by several members to get in that sweet red zone. It's not just one.

Some people have like god-level brick rep - and they can pretty much do anyone. I guess those people are less likely to do anything but Im thinking of someone like Galacon. A lot of people have sucked his dick (while he poos on them directly) and given him massive repblocks.
I got nothing against him - but I'm pretty sure he'd impulsively redbrick anyone he felt mad at at that minute in life. Based on his past history of replies. That's the kind of posters I mean.
I'm not even sure why I care. Every time the password change comes around - every person self-bans themselves until they feel like changing the password - and the time period is generally always longer than 2 weeks LOL
Vadym, I negged your first post on this page (with the intent of propping your 2nd for net zero value but it won't let me, I'll get you back tho when it will) and it had negligible effect on your brick status. But I can nuke some 5 post coppa pasta scammer with one neg into full red so maybe there's some merit to that concept? I'm with you tho, no dog in the fight, miss WF being awesome.
From my understanding of rep and what Grindstone demonstrated, this can not happen.
It would take more than one person to neg a legitimate account for that account to end up in the red, since the system looks at how much rep you have not who gave it too you.
Looking at my own rep, I have positive, neg and neutral.
The neg is from other members that have a good rep and the system accepts their neg rep on me as legitimate.
The positive, same as above.
The neutral is from new members or accounts with low rep trying to neg me but the system ignores them and it shows as blue on my rep page.
But what you said about auto red bricks is true for new accounts without any rep (the ones with one rep block).
I and everyone else with decent rep can brick them in to the red with one neg.
But then I don't see that as a problem, in fact it is the reason why I suggest autobans.
A new user acts like a tard, gets red bricked, system looks at their account after 14/30 days and autobans.
This cleans out the shit quick and easy.
If on the other hand someone is going around negging new users for the hell of it then that is where mods/Führer should step in an ban that person (and it would be easy to see they are abusing the system).

How hard is it to spend 2 weeks posting shit of value, and lets be clear, it can be literally shit as long as it's funny, to get a decent rep/post count up and then open a BST.
Being part of any community is a privilege that has to be earned, and WF is no exception.
Most of us came up in the days of trial by fire, where one fuck up meant you would get your ass handed to you, but we survived and it made WF a place that was worth being a member of.
It made WF the best place to be, the only place to be.
I'm tired of these fuck stains posting with impunity even after they have been bricked, it used to be that Red was a sign of someone who should be avoided at all cost, but now it's lost its meaning.
Again it's not my call, but I would love to see the great purge of 2015 being all current red accounts getting banned and deleted from the system and all new accounts that are negged getting banned after 14/30 days.
These people have nothing of value to offer, so let them offer that nothing somewhere else.
