Get a second host as a failover. Use DNSMadeEasy.com's DNS/failover service - it's dirt cheap. It will let you know when your main host is down & will switch the IP over to the second server. Obviously you'll need to figure out a solution to sync your files & databases (many options), but it's really worth it.
