My merchant's site isn't all that good graphic wise, it is simple, informative, has special deals and offers. It's just that their company logo, and graphics could be designed cleaner and better and I dont' like the font they're using. Anyway I'm wanting to get a professional landing page created. I have basic HTML skills, and could get a template, use their company logo, and throw something together but I figure if I get it done professionally I could get a higher number of conversions.

I'm just wondering if the landing page looks better than the merchant's if this will effect conversions negatively, so should I just do it myself? So the customer isn't turned away when they get to the merchant's page?

Thanks

If your landing page looks better then send the user directly to the sales page. Bypass their sh*tty landing page.

Their website looks different than mine, so if somebody goes to the sign up page, couldn't that mess up a sale? Or can a web developer just copy the codes on the forms for the sign up page and just put it on my site? That would be the same as a customer actually went to the website wouldn't it? They're signing up for a service type deal so it's not a product where there has to be a store, etc...

I agree with Maximus, any improvement on a landing page is key. If you can appeal better with a custom one you create, or have someone build for you, then definitely go for it. Any time you can get potential customers to convert better, do it!

Edit: Is it generating a lead? If it sends the same information, it seems like you could just pull the code and put it on your page. Make sure to clear it with your affiliate though and make sure that works out for them as well..
