What is your attention span after opening a typical new browser tab, one that is not for a web based email or a forum?

Mine is like nine secs.

And then what do you look for before deciding whether a web page is worth a bookmark or not?

I scroll fast skimming through a web page before deciding whether the page is 'worthy of a bookmark' or not...

I don't even bookmark sites unless i really need to. like if its job related or has useful information. i just use my visit history to go back to sites i need to go to.

but i swear i got ADD or something because its so hard for me to concentrate on working anymore. once i get over that hurdle of like 10-15 mins i can get into a working mode but if im not feeling it ill just start doing something else entirely within seconds and forget about what i was doing.

I had to use my grandma's AOL 4.0 dial up the other day. How the fuck did we live during those times?

Bookmarks are my life!!! LOL

I have like more than 4000 bookmarks...

Well, I have 50,326 bookmarks on my Win7 machine at the moment in 2,369 folders. The bookmark file itself is 10mb. Size on disk is 197mb.

My Vista machine has 62,789 bookmarks in 2,652 folders. The file itself is 12mb. Size on disk is 221mb.

My XP machine has only 10,549 bookmarks in in 489 folders. The file itself is 4.16mb. Size on disk is 41.7mb.

I have about 10 disks with older bookmark folders that I also load up to find stuff from time to time.

Ah attention span, my one vice (apart from drugs and prostitutes). If I am coding I can go for hours, literally days without stopping. If I am starting work takes me about 3-4 hours to actually start and stop browsing random sites etc.
