I hate to start another political thread, but it doesn't actually have much to do with the current election. As I was reading through some posts I started to wonder what the actual majority is here on Wickedfire.

If I could, I'd like to break it down into those people that are struggling, successful members, members who own corporations, etc. but that would take too much work so I'll give this a shot. Hopefully it will add a little insight as to where other AM's stand.

I don't know a whole shit load about which side I'm on. But I believe in more radical change of the system, and an abolishment of the system we have now. I am pro choice and support stem cell research (you don't want to go toe to toe on that). I believe the government can change things but are too corrupt to do so. I'm no longer democrat, but I'm sure as hell not republican. What am I?

That's a good question. I consider myself a fairly strong republican, but then again I'm also pro-choice, and for stem cell research.

Mostly I believe our constitution and bill of rights were correct, and the farther we get away from that, the worse things seem to get. Less government intervention for me. Let the "invisible hand" do it's thing.

If everyone would just be a social liberal, this world would be a better place. (that way you can have your Republican cake and eat it too)

Amen! I'm extremely socially liberal but fiscally conservative.

Rock + Hard Place = Me

If I had to I'd tick the Social Liberal box too. Generally vote Liberal Democrat in national and local elections and Green in Europe (they have a strong group doing some good shit and with PR can actually win seats).

pretty left on everything except crime and capitol punishment. We'd save so much time and money if once they were found guilty by a jury of their peers, 6 months for a single appeal. After that, take em out back and put a cheap bullet in them. None of this paying $30k per year on death row for 10 years. we could practice with some neocons :)
