and just thought I'd throw this out there:

I'm a hardcore conservative, although I'm not really here for political discussion. I did comment on the Abortion thread, until I realized that's not why I'm here. I'm here to learn more about AM.

pretty left on everything except crime and capitol punishment. We'd save so much time and money if once they were found guilty by a jury of their peers, 6 months for a single appeal. After that, take em out back and put a cheap bullet in them. None of this paying $30k per year on death row for 10 years. we could practice with some neocons
That's money well spent! Me and all my friends wish we had the law and order you have in the states. Gangsters and scumbags walking the streets here flouting the law because they get puny sentences from soft judges if at all.
The hippies going on about the 'harsh upbringing' that causes these scumbags to be criminals. Should be zero tolerance and minimum sentences.
Idiotic. It's not about the harsh upbringing, it's about all situations being different.
For example if someone throws a punch at me, I'm going to throw a punch back. And yes, I'd be charged.
So on that assault charge, should I have a high minimum sentence and zero tolerance?

If you punch back after being punched you're not getting an assault charge. And marijuana is against the law, you should go down. Your beer laws are ridiculous, 21 is crazy.
I suppose I'm talking about zero tolerance for violent crimes. A scumbag gangster 6 months ago gave abuse to a guard when drunk and pissed up on his cop car and got no sentence. A few weeks ago he shot dead an innocent victim in a mistaken identity. He shouldn't have been on the streets in the first place.

So you think it is right to imprison people for choosing to consume one drug, but people should be allowed to consume a different drug at a younger age?
