And for the tree-huggers: I typically commute to the office on a 1979 Peugeot UO10 roadbike (20 miles to the Clif bar).

My baby. Had it for 5 years now. Last of the RT-10's with the cream puff pistons. Living out here in southwest Florida its a lot of highway driving (70+mph) making gas efficiency better than most ricers. 6th gear = 1150 rpm @ 70mph.

In west florida you can go "out east" which is another way of saying the center of the state where technology is nil. Roads are empty and driving is fun.

In the city, sure its only 14mpg on average. But seriously who cares. Even at $4+ a gallon per gas, you're still paying considerably more for bottled water :) If a drive in this baby gets my brain going for the next campaign, gas can jump to $20/gallon and I'll be out there.

I've also got a 2002 Firehawk TransAm (which I'm selling) and a 2004 Cadillac CTS-V (grocery-getter/baby carter/wifemobile). You can bet I'll be buying the 09 with the supercharged 525hp motor. We like 6 speeds in this family...

I drive a beat to shit '99 Cavalier that I bought used from my mom. Having spent a ridiculous amount of money on cars and related toys in the 1990s I found that I prefer driving something I could replace with pocket money if it ever dies. It's also shit cheap to insure, has not had any repair work needed in years, and gets about 34mpg on the road.

For happy fun times I ride my bike, an '02 Suzuki Intruder LC. Same basic concept as the Cavalier -- cheap but effective transportation, which also happens to look kinda cool going down the road.

If the kids are in tow, I drive my wife's SUV, which is a bit nicer than the sort of thing I'd be likely to buy for myself.

Now that is a beautiful car right there! I drive a '03 330XI and I can't wait for the day when I can get an M. My dream car (that could actually be a reality) is a white M3, black interior, dark tinted windows and black rims. I just 21 so I still have time to make that happen :)
