Janaic...

Old Tim McGraw is okay, all of his new shit sucks...
George Strait is awesome..

Reba and Trisha both suck horrrrrrrribly along with Taylor Swift and Gretchen Wilson

For country, id probably say Gary Allan and Jason Aldean are the best out there these days....

Ive been listening to Saliva - All Because of You lately and a whole lot of techno...

Hm, I like all country. Except for Taylor Swift, I hate that bitch.

God I haven't heard of half of the bands listed. I used to listen to AFI, From Autumn to Ashes and Matchbook Romance.

At this moment I am listening to:

Jay-Z - Pray off of the American Gangster album. Hip-Hop always puts me in the mood to make money.

My favorite new band is Kings of Leon. They are hard to describe. Maybe smart indie rock meets southern rock? Check em out. YouTube - Kings of Leon - Fans

BTW Pandora.com is the shit. Couple it with PandoraJam so you can record every song to iTunes and you're set for life.

Dude..the Kings of Leon are pretty fuckin badass :rasta:. I've also got PandoraJam running now. Sweet.

ChrisS, you'd love Glastonbury this year - Jay Z and Kings of Leon headlining. (Personally, although I really like KoL I was a bit disappointed at those headliners.)

Today I've been listening to a lot of my friend Adam's stuff, gonna remix one of his songs and gotta decide which one.

Country has got to be the only genre of music I can say I generally dislike, with the notable exception of the man - Johnny Cash. You guys heard his cover of Nine Inch Nail's Hurt? One of the most moving songs I have ever heard, and the video had me close to tears. So fucking powerful.

Oh and the country version of Gin 'n' Juice is fuckin great too! (anyone know who did that?)

I couldn't agree more. The NIN version is 100X better. It's depressing....

I listen to:
- Jack Johnson
- Pete Murray
- John Butler Trio
- Matt Costa
- The Beautiful Girls
- Ben Harper

...although I don't own any music of the last three, I just pop over to their myspace occassionally to here their songs.
Some consider me a hippie...that's cool.

Tons of shit:

Protest the Hero
Between the Buried and Me (see my avatar)
Blue Rodeo
Saves the Day
Infected Mushroom
Dream Theater
Dillinger Escape Plan
Tool
Underminded
Thrice
Weezer
Sufjan Stevens
Third Eye Blind
RHCP

When I'm writing, piano sonatas (Mozart, preferably).

When I'm doing PPC, Dream Theater, Greg Howe, John Coltrane and Jason Moran.

When I'm driving, Queensryche (Operation: LIVEcrime), Scorpions, Whitesnake and Mozart (piano sonatas).

KOL sound quite similar to country though..

Anyone like wilco?

Lately all i listen to is New Wave - Against Me

Yeah, guess it's really just the stereotypical pure old-school country sound that I'm not keen on really. I like a load of stuff that has elements of country, Alabama 3 are another great band with a country influenced sound.

I've heard a bit of wilco (a while back) they did a couple of albums with Billy Bragg, who I think is great. Not listened to them in a while, but from what I remember they are really good.
