A friend of mine on another forum had some of his description and images stolen and directly linked to (what an idiot) for an ebay auction.

He owns Fix your XBox 360 Yourself
and all his shit was used by someone else to post the following auction on eBay

BROKEN XBOX 360 COMPLETE REPAIR GUIDE.... UPDATED - (eBay item 260184551850 end time Nov-28-07 11:29:29 PST)

He emailed the guy and asked him to change the listing, and the guy wrote back saying he would have his website taken down and he would sue him.

Then he followed up by calling and pretending to be a lawyer. Saying that if he VeRo's the dude on eBay, they will sue him and all this other shit.

What the hell should he do?

What would you do?

Report him obviously. Ebay don't really care anyway but it's worth a try. You could try unethical methods (think abuse his account with constant neg feedback - there are ways if you look hard enough).

Isn't it copyright infringement?

Ebay will kill the auction, and probably torch the sellers account. Furthermore, an IP lawyer would probably be able to do something about this individual assuming they actually have something worth suing. But it'd still cost a grand or two just to get the lawyer on board - probably not worth the effort.

Okay, there... GET BACK TO FUCKING WORK.

Fuck the lawyers and complaining to ebay. Too much time and effort.

Your pal should enable hotlink protection on his server and redirect all the images the guy's using to goatsex pics. That'll teach him. :error:

He actually did change the images to some good pics... Including tubgirl.
:)
But the dude finally changed the shit... So its all good now.

And DaveEMG - I am back to work!!!!
(peeks @ the Shooting the Shit page)

OK OK IM GOING!!!
