What Wordpress theme do you prefer to use?

I don't have any background in design but I feel like Wordpress isn't so hard to use if you have the right tools.

My question for you guys is what theme do you like to use when creating your landing pages? I know there are a bunch of free ones (I've read that Thematic is a good one) and some paid ones (Thesis, Socrates), but I don't know where to start, and if paying for a theme is even worth it in the first place.

And with no design experience, is it worth it to hire someone to build your landing pages for you? I want to be as efficient as possible, but I don't want to leave money on the table that I don't have to.

What do you guys suggest? Do you have a few go-to themes that you use repeatedly or do you have professionals do it for you?

I tried Thesis a few months ago and hated it. Headway looks very interesting. Might give it a shot on my next blog.

Depends on the job. I like the look of woothemes although I usually have to tear the damned things apart because their SEO knowledge is not very good.

Twenty Ten, (you know the FREE ONE that comes with WP).

Select the One Column, No Sidebar page template on the right.

You can change the header graphic to whatever you want.

And its free!
