The point of marriage depends entirely on who you marry.
If you marry someone who is feckless, spendthrift, and refuses to take responsibility for their own life, there is no point at all.
If you marry someone who is mature, responsible, and committed to building a whole that's greater than the sum of its parts, there is a lot of point.
A good marriage is an alliance between the two of you. It enables you to do things that you couldn't reasonably achieve otherwise, like raising a family. There are also tax/financial benefits to getting married, if you are smart about it.

If you want constant thrills and romance, don't get married, stick to chasing skirt around. If you're bored of that (and it does get old, just like any other drug), then maybe it's something to consider.

Sexism has nothing to do with procreation or sexual attraction. Sexism is discrimination based on gender. Sexism devalues women as human beings and places them at a lower standard than men. Women who love their rights still want to fuck.
Because women do things for their husbands. They give tremendous emotional support, take care of you when you're sick. Talk to you when you're down, and any number of other things that women do. For wealthy men I assume they take care of the things their husbands are too busy to do. If it was so bad as you claim why do most very wealth men get married? After all it's completely one sided, there's no incentive right? Marriage is a partnership. Things acquired BEFORE marriage aren't typically divided, it's just what the man or woman earned while married.
Because in a marriage it's 50/50. Thats how it works. Most selfish people don't ever get this, but most selfish people don't get married and end up dying a lonely fucker.
The fact that you think that it's YOUR wealth says a lot. Again it's a partnership. Think of it as a business transaction.
So do we have a jury decide on a womans looks to determine how much she gets? Whats the scale? If they decide she's a 9 does she get 90%? If she's a total dog does she get nothing? Who decides. 50% is the number because its half. You were half of the relationship so you get half the riches.
A products quality can easily be determined. The materials that go in, the attention to detail, the ergonomics, the brand, and more. That's what makes 1 chair cost more than another, or a car. Who do we get to determine who is a quality woman? Does a court decide ... damn she's ugly and has a bad attitude. What if they decide you're the shit head and give her ALL your money instead of half? 50/50 split is "fair and equitable" for both parties. Besides you earned it all on your own accord right? You can earn it all back, no sweat.
Car prices are based on a market value. If a man marries a woman and doesn't get a pre-nup who's fault is that really? The mans. Men have ways to protect themselves financially in the event of a divorce, if they didn't excercise those rights then who is really to blame.
LOL .... better start socking away some cash for your eventual sexual harrassment case. Treating women like that will ensure they get 120% of your money + all the money you earn for the rest of your life. Oh and you don't even get to fuck them before they take it all.

I love my wife, we have 2 kids and I have been married almost 6 years. I love knowing she'll be there when I get home....traveling reminds me how great it is to lay next to a beautiful women every single night, guaranteed sex at least a couple times a week.

Like been said, most women today have their own fairy tale in the head, thinking they would become a princess once they get the prince, yet their thinking is fucked up as they don't think that they are just a girl marrying a fucking prince in the first place.
Every chick flick or a fairy tale ends on a girl getting a guy and it's all romantic, beautiful and shit... They don't show them what happens after that and that's where their fucked up imagination kicks in based on the beginning of the story. Cinderellas are only Cinderellas before they get married, then most start acting like the fucking princesses. Some act like the fucking princesses before getting married, those are not likely to become Cinderellas for you later. If can deal with it, go for it. If you think that you can change the world and Hollywood mentality in people, be ready to get disappointed.
Yet, we are all fucked up in our own way too, thinking about things like... that they could be a good mother to our kids... that the supply of sandwiches will never end... thinking that we can just get some at any point with less effort... them wearing those uncomfortable sexy outfits till the rest of the days... etc., whatever the fuck your expectations are...
I had my own fucked up theory, put it to practice, failed but stopped being delusional, or not as delusional as I was before I tried it at least. Yet, still think that I may give it another try at some point later in life...
Lots of pluses, lost of minuses... Partners just need to be on the same page and know what to expect from each other before they get married and stay truthful to the vows they give each other for both sides to be happy.
I'm answering why I like to be married, I wasn't really giving my opinion on the importance of the process. I think the commitment it takes to go through the process really helps some people set good standards for who they choose to be a partner they spend the rest of their life with.
I think that some of the legal documents make sense, if I look at if from an empathetic view of a woman I can see how it makes sense. If you marry a girl and promise to take care of her, knock her up and get her pregnant, keeping her home as a stay at home mother...your committing to take care of her and the kids.
She is giving up her time, that could be spent furthering school or beginning and advancing through a career in order to become the role of mother and wife...so you can't just kick her out to the curb and say good luck, after ten years, if you feel like fucking other girls or something. Your the man, your career is fine and you've been advancing and making money etc so your fine, but she would be fucked...starting over fresh.
Why would she be starting off fresh, again, it goes back to the agreement you made with her that you will be her husband forever and take care of her. Thats a serious promise, a promise the woman must take so seriously, that if you break that promise...it can really affect her life.
So do I think it make some sense? Yes. Do I think its perfect and that it all makes sense? No, but it isn't mind mindbogglingly stupid or pointless either.
