I came across an ad for usenet (usenext.de) that says
Do you want access to Usenet, the world's biggest public forum?

What are they talking about? how can usenet be different from the general internet? Is it worth buying a subscription to usenet?

Shhh................

Rule #1. DO NOT TALK ABOUT USENET

+1

When "The Man" is done with torrent sites, this will be their next killing field. (They've already started harassing usenet.com & usenet.org.)

But to edify you some, here What is Usenet? go fucking nuts!! LOL

P.S. When you are done with that you can go discover the gophernet and geosites!! Lulz

So, I've been doing pretty well with blasting all the newsgroups with the 'send a dollar to everyone on this list, then put your name & address at the top of the list' kick ass business model, and just spent all my dollars that I got in the mail on a killer 28.8bps modem, but I now have a problem...

My free hours of AOL is going to run out soon... Can anyone help me stay on the World Wide Web? Does anyone have one of those fancy new 100 Free Hours of AOL cd's that you could spare?

If you can help me, I will put your name & address at the top of the list of my next wave of chain letter blasts... and you will get many many dollars in your mailbox too!

I just set up SABnzbd+. Sweet. Looking for a Newzbin invite to get the full effect. PM me if you're feeling generous .

Usenet predates the fucking internet, as we know it, itself.

Odds are, mine does, your ISP provides access to Usenet free of charge.

Look into that before buying a subscription. lulz.

But what's the use of usenet? Ask pedobear.

No seriously, two words (for me at least) 360 games.

Search newzleech.com, find 360 game, download .nzb file, open it up in Grab-It (free program), insert your ISPs usenet server into grab-it's settings and BOOM!

Free 360 games at lightning speeds.

That's what I do with it.

Yeah, I ran Forte Agent for years until I jumped over to Grab-It.

Trouble is I just built a Hackintosh/Win7 box and trying to decide if I really like running things in Snow Leopard enough to keep in on. Not many alternatives to Grab-It on that side. Guess I could run it in virtually but SABnzbd+ seems a decent alternative for me. Since Newzbin is integrated, I don't mind a paid alternative to Newsleech - which has been down all day as a matter of fact.

Rather than sit there waiting for stuff to upload, I'll just save it on this nifty little device (costs about $250), pop out the tape, drive down to FedEx Kinko's and overnight that shit to anywhere in the lower 48:
