what's wrong with this LP?

Dude please explain more. Do you have 40K impressions or clicks where are you going. I do agree with the idea of the color. Reds do good if they are light.

take the price on the top out completely. People see prices and run

The comics look ok but if you can do better I would focus on that. Drop those all together. Just to be funny and for a laugh THEY LOOK LIKE SOME SIMS REJECTS ON ELF PILLS....

I would change the are you dateable text it is hard to read and not nice to the eye.

If you keep the comics give that woman some damn BOOBS

I once read a report on colors that convert. Since then I have been using more orange and blues on my sites and conversions have increased some. The same report I recall indicated that purple was a color to avoid.

If I were to run and ad like that it would not be cartoon characters. And the question would be a little more provocative. Are you targeting the add to high school kids or a Christian dating service?

thanks for the replies. very helpful.

I chose those images that color/theme because I wanted it to match the offer's landing page to the T.. which is this:
areudateable.com/ (clicky)

This is also why I put the price on top.. I was afraid that if the user clicks my image, and notices that the price moved down and the picture moved up, they'd get confused and know they're at a different site

It wasn't a dating offer, nor ringtones. It was cell submit but they send flirting tips to your phone

payout was good but the offer died, this LP is from months ago, I don't remember the ad copy but that was bad too.

hmm, actually now that I think about it, 40K clicks would probably cost more than my car. I don't remember how many impressions exactly (prob 40K), but I had enough clicks w/ no convertions to realize it wasn't going anywhere. I spent a little over $100 on longtail, so bids weren't that high.

I will take the suggestions into account for my next trials (soon), which will be with Yahoo instead of adwords. thanks

Well, as someone that loves comics, I'd say the illustrations. The chick looks like a dude, and the dude looks like he has an extra chromosome.

But really, I'd put the costings below the hooks.
The first thing peopel see is that block of white text that stands out enough to get their attention really nicely, and it's wanting to charge them money!!! THEIR MONEY!!!
Let them think about it later, if at all...
Same deal when you click into it. Put the glaring white text underneath. So long as it's there, it's legal, and their fault if they don't pay attention.

Next, it's WAY too static. I mean, a basic highlight or rollover on mouse hover or something for the guy & girl and/or button. Make em wink with a GIF or something. Just that little extra bit makes it seem way more professional, and therefore legit.

Ha, an extra chromosome -- i.e. down syndrome
