i use Panic Coda as editor so i don't really use an ftp client anymore.

but other wise I would use CaptainFTP (mac)

Filezilla user here as well. Never had any problems with it and it gets the job done.

I use filezilla.. but when i upload big files.. always disconnects mid upload. yeah, shit is annoying as FUCK~!

Hmm, I've uploaded files 1GB+ and never had an issue. Maybe it's your connection? I'll IM ya.

CuteFTP is the best i have used so far.

I also have dreamweaver connected to all my sites so i quickly open the file i want to edit and just upload it with one click. Anyone building or editing sites a lot should do this. Huge time saver.

I've been using FileZilla for ages (FIreFTP before that), but just gonna check out sftpdrive. Assigning drive letters sounds like a great way of managing a load of server connections to me and looks like it might make keeping a regular backup of my pc online a lot easier.

sftpdrive is fuckin' amazing! Nice one Mr Cakes!

Access server from any app... Drag and drop from one server to another... :D I'm never gonna convince myself I need to know more command line stuff now! Time to make use of the free space on my server, finally back up my music... gotta be the simplest way around of keeping offsite backups and running a personal media server!

guys just get sftpdrive or webdrive and it'll turn your ftp into a directory on your hd so you can edit whatever you want and it'll do all the background ftp shit for you
way easy

I have sftpDrive installed but it is very slow (running on Vista) compared to CuteFTP.... it opens Vista Copy Dialog and it just takes forever..am I the only one with this problem?

i downloaded the newest filezilla and its not actually as bad as the old one. holds a connection much better

Filezilla here but as somebody has already mentioned it keeps cancelling connections without a reason every 5-10 minutes. Fortunately I am uploading/downloading small files so it doesn't matter to me.

Hi,

I use CoreFTP. You can get a fully functional free version at their site, and it does everything you need in an FTP program.
