What's your favorite hot sauce?

My favorite as I think it has more flavor but I typically don't like to make things hotter than the chef serves them.

When I make a batch of wings using franks + butter I usually eat the whole fucking 3 lb. bag of frozen wings A) because I'm fat and B) because it tastes fucking awesome.

I don't understand the need to make shit super-hot when it tastes absolutely horrible.

This Dave's ghost pepper sauce looks fantastic for example. Dave's (NEW) Ghost Pepper Naga Jolokia Hot Sauce
Damn, and I thought Dave's Ultimate Insanity was pretty hot (90,000 scoville unites), and Da Bomb Da' Bomb Beyond Insanity Hot Sauce was killer at about 120,000...

That being said, Dave's insanity sauces are among my favorite of the really hot end of things. I'm currently working through a number of Mexican Habenero sauces, which are pretty good.

If you have a Firehouse Subs location anywhere near you, just go over one day and sample every one of the 40 or so sauces they have. Some of my favorite sauces that can all be found there (whether uber hot or normal hot + flavorful) are:

Right now, I'm about to get some peppers (probably Serrano or Habenero) and make my own hot pepper vinegar, after finishing off the ever delicious Texas Pete | Products . I can drink that sauce like water, and then I use the peppers from the original bottle as sandwich condiments.

Frank's is my goto favorite that I put on everything, but it's just flavor...not really hot.
Brought some of this shit back from a trip to Jamaica, and it's pretty good stuff.

I like the Chipotle version of Tabasco. It's awesome mixed into ground turkey for turkey burgers--only way they're worth eating, actually, in my opinion. ;]

If I'm looking to add real heat to something, though, and not just a nice smokey, spicy flavor, I use Korean red pepper flake. It has a slight sweetness to it at first, but builds up great heat after.

Louisiana is my favorite. It's the right amount of heat and flavor that it really goes great with just about anything that you want to spice up.

Tobasco is good, but it has a very overpowering flavor that only goes good with certain things, like black eyed peas.

The green tobasco isn't very hot, but it has a really great flavor. I love it on eggs.

You guys talking about Habanero Sauces, your balls must be hanging down past your knees because I cannot take that shit!

I like flavor but I don't like getting killed while tasting that flavor. lol

Overall this thread has delivered. I've found some awesome looking sauces that I haven't tried yet and never heard of some of them.
