Has anyone fucked with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator before? If so, what do you think of it?

(If you're not sure what it is, check out its history). It's basically a personality profiler based on the theories of Carl Jung. It states we experience the world through 4 key functions (I/E, S/N, F/T, P/J).

(Although I realize there's some debate whether or not MBTI should be taken seriously, I personally believe its one of the most accurate personality profilers in existence. In fact, I made my family take it when I was younger and it really helped us understand each other more).

I consistently score ENTP, although I'm definitely developing a few INTJ tendencies as I get older.

ENTPs are frequently described as clever, cerebrally and verbally quick, enthusiastic, outgoing, innovative, flexible, loyal, and resourceful. ENTPs are motivated by a desire to understand and improve the world they live in. They are usually accurate in sizing up a situation. They may have a perverse sense of humor and sometimes play devil's advocate, which can create misunderstandings with friends, coworkers, and family. ENTPs are ingenious and adept at directing relationships between means and ends. ENTPs devise fresh, unexpected solutions to difficult problems. However, they are less interested in generating and following through with detailed plans than in generating ideas and possibilities

Translation (based on personal experience): Basically, the ENTP is often intelligent, fast-learning, disorganized, multi-talented, flakey, rebellious, energetic, likes words (and debate) but hates routines, traditions, rules, and other meaningless "feel-good" shit most people latch onto. Can come off as sociopaths/arrogant pricks to those that don't understand the concept of real-life "trolling." :jester: However, ENTPs do tend to project charm, charisma and friendliness, but the trance mostly wears off once you realize we're full of shit and calculating dickheads with brilliant ideas (yet tend to lack the discipline to bring ideas to reality). I occasionally meet fellow ENTPs and the few that have mastered personal development are typically wildly successful and awesome people. Unfortunately, many ENTPs - while having the ability to effortlessly excel in almost anything - end up wasting their potential due to procrastination and SOS ("shiny object syndrome" - basically, we have a history of starting projects and never finishing them).

Free Jung Personality Test (similar to MBTI / Myers Briggs)
or Personality test based on C. Jung and I. Briggs Myers type theory
or Personality Tests and Type Profiles (recommended)

What's Your Type? - Do you feel like it was an accurate assessment? Or do you think MBTI is full of shit? :nopenope:

(I suspect WF has a lot of INTPs, ISTPs, ENTJs, and a few INTJs & ENTPs. Could be way off base, though.)

Basically, this forum is an INTJ hangout. That makes a TON of sense, actually. Probably why I hold my tongue before jumping into too many debates lol

Stupid facts and flawless logic. Always fucking up my arguments.

Hahahha, wtf! I took both tests and got "ENTP" + "Enneagram Type Seven: The Enthusiast".

And this pretty much describes me as well:

This thread is now about Enneagram. 7 - Enneagram Type Seven: The Enthusiast

..still laughing. Both tests seem to be surprisingly accurate. :)
