Mine is a shitty Dell Celeron M laptop with 760mb RAM and no graphics card, I'm getting a new computer soon though.

What's your computer setup?

Anything you recommend I need for my new system?

Yup you definetly gotta fix that.

I have a notebook and new desktop I received last week. I'll run down the Specs:

Notebook:
15.4" Frame from Custom Laptops by PowerNotebooks.com™ - Discount Custom Notebooks & Cheap Laptop Computers (an excellent dealer)
2.16 GHz T2600 Dual Core
nVidia GeForce Go 7600 256 MB
2GB Ram
250 GB 5400 RPM Hard drive (the stock 100 GB 7200 RPM HD burned out and Thailand doesn't carry 7200 RPM hard drives because apparently, they said Thailand is too hot for them ...ridiculous)
Windows XP 32-Bit

Then my new Desktop:

HP Elite m9180f Series
Intel Quad Core Q6700 @ 2.66 GHz
nVidia 7800 GT 512MB
4 GB Ram
1 TB Disk Space (2 - 500 GB 7200 RPM Hard drives)
All the bells and whistles like Wireless, TV Tuner, HD inputs/outputs
Windows Vista Ultimate 64-Bit (Just because the drivers for XP haven't been released yet.)

External Monitors
Samsung 22" SyncMaster2232GW
JVC 32" LCD TV (lol)

Speakers:
Logitech X-540 5.1 Dolby Digital Speakers (5 satellites and one Bass... its fucking loud).

The desktop is awesome for games. Plays Crysis on High without much stuttering until the later levels. Thinking about putting in a second video card to get rid of that problem. I'll probably throw in another 4 gb of ram to get that taken care of, too.

Notebook is used for chatting and email. Great way to break up distractions when I need to get work done.

Ouch.

I've got:

AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core 2.2ghz
3gbs of ram
ATI Radeon HD 3600 1gig of ram (It's a piece of shit)
500gb Disk drive
Two 22" Samsung Syncmaster 226nw's.

I'd recommend what ever you do, to get TWO monitors. By far the best investment I've ever made. Managing campaigns, talking to people on AIM well working, copying things over from different windows, etc is just WAY easier and the time saved justifys the expense.

Fuck quad core, if you're not using a 16mhz 386sx, why are you still in this business?

I bet when you watch porn, the computer has a 2 second lag.

386sx is wayyy too much power to handle. I use a TI-82 graphing calculator and Mario Paint.

Nah, setup is Panasonic cf-t2 w/ Ubuntu, non-impressive XP machine for iTunes, platform/browser checks etc., 2ghz/500Gb Myth Box for DVR / Movies / Slingbox, a 1Tb FREENas box for backups, and another minor Ubuntu machine for all-day crons / sillyness.

Last piece is a Nokia 9300 Communicator - for fast mobile ssh/vnc/FTP/IMAP access to my toys/info/music etc.

Two 19"+ monitors is a definite must in my book - get on that shit. The more screen real-estate you have - the better.

15" MacBook Pro
2.4 Ghz Core 2 Duo T8300
2GB of ram soon to be upgraded to 4GB
Nvidia 8600M GT with 256 MB ram
160 GB Internal hard drive, 500 GB External hard drive

Both drives have been partitioned for OS X and Vista, and I have a Ubuntu VM but don't really use it. Right now no external monitor, because everyone that I've hooked up so far looks like shit compared to my MBP display - and that bugs me. I hope to run 2 Dell Ultrasharps or 2 Apple 20" displays with a Matrox TripleHead2Go someday.

Dell 400SC (3.4 HT woo hoo)
75GB Raptor
Nvidia 6600GT
2 gb RAM
Dual 21" widescreen Dell 2001s (one is the economy model, the other is the one with all the ports and such)
5.1 Logitech system
Running Ubuntu 8.04 and Windows XP Pro on a Dual Boot (haven't used it in 8 months, though)

Thinkpad T30 (14.1" screen)
Intel Mobile 1.8
1.25gb ram
Upgraded wireless card
Running Ubuntu 8.04, with XP Pro on a dual boot (also hasn't been used in a long time)
I want to replace this with a newer TP x-series but this one works so well I can't justify the $$ for an extra hour of battery and a a couple fewer pounds.

All my file storage is on an external 500gb SATA drive. Someday I should probably get a separate server for storage and have a RAID configuration.

Apple Mac Pro Workstation

2 x Dual Core 2.66Ghz Intel
2 x 1TB internal HDDs
16GB Ram
ATI Radeon 1900XT

External Monitors

Dell 3007WFP-HC
Dell 2005FPW

My new system should be:

PC Nextday

It may look cheap, but I will buy some more shit to improve it.

The best thing about it is the E8500, because it out performed the Q6600 in the majority of tests even though the Q6600 is quad core and E8500 is dual.

But then anything is better than what I have now even...
a TI-82 graphing calculator and Mario Paint.
