What's your story?

I was in a fast food chain waiting for my sister when I was bit by a radioactive spider -- it didn't turned me to be an ass-kicking superhero but at least a net crawler. And the rest, I would say, is history.

Seriously, I learned AM from my friend. We have the same dream of getting rich using the internet. Sadly, he was gone more than a year ago. So I was here out to fulfill both our dreams.

Hahaha...

Some of these are hilarious.

Doing this just for fun, used to work at a search engine, now doing important stuff 9-5 and experimenting in the evenings.

I found a bootlegged copy of Google Cash somewhere a couple years ago, and the ideas made perfect sense to me, so I decided to pursue it.

I then got caught up in wanting to know everything before I tested it, finally breaking outta that that twisted cycle after a full year, and the rest is history, as they say.

Now I'm handcoding HTML/CSS (and more recently PHP, Javascript).

I had a website I created back in 2006 and I wanted to figure out how to promote it... I frequently visited the poker forum 2p2 back then and some guy linked Wickedfire.. When I realized the potential of AM I was literally awe struck.. been here for around 4 months now.. aiming to make it full time before the years over. :)

after getting invalided out of the Green Berets, I was recruited by a secret underground organization whose purpose was to prepare the world for the coming of an alien race. The internet was chosen as the medium to distribute the news, and thus my main task became blah blah blah blah blah

1995 my uncle talked me into doing a website for a client of his (Mike Judge's cousin) going on Art Bell. That fucker had me typing a 100+ page history on the theory of Atlantis using Net Objects Fusion. The software sucked and I figured I had to crack the hood open to figure out why the html wasn't playing well with netscape.

Years of bartending later, I figured the ceiling was pretty low for my earnings potential in a restaurant so I gave it the finger to hang out with you guys.

Hahaha nice, some of my friends make a living with poker and one of them showed me 2p2 and I really liked the community there... I never even looked at the poker sections(I never played online poker either). AM absolutely consumed my life once I started learning about it though so I'm glad to end up here. :)

I started a business, and wanted a cool high traffic website to haul in buckets of clients.

I was researching how to market online, and discovered that marketing was a lot more fun that the stupid business I was trying to be in. The rest, more or less, is history.

I read this guy Kevin's blog who said he got a government grant and then started an online business by posting links on Google.

lol this thread is hillarious. I am in to collaborate! I am from Costa Rica and currently live in NYC with israeli hubby. Used to do sales for a company but got sick of it...so I am persuing my dreams of making my handbag designing my full time job. That's how I decided to do it online first. Waiting tables part time to pay the bills and hoping for the day that I can devote myself for the real passion of my life :love-smiley-087:

Got a lucky break in 2000. Overture was king, Google AdWords was still 2 years away. Google Prime Placement was where all the money was. It was easy. Now it's 2009 & you just keep rolling with the punches. Don't fear change in this biz, every change gives you the chance to be among the first to captialize, then you'r entrenched for awhile & your bankers take special notice when you walk in.

I hate my current job. I work for the TSA....I go through peoples luggage for 8 hours a day....It is the most mind numbing thing I have ever done, and I've been doing in for almost 5 years now. I've always been good with computers and technology has always been a passion in my life. So I figured that if I'm every going to be happy with my professional life, I will have to be self employed. The internet has countless opportunities to make that happen...

And I love spinning dicks, so here I am.
