Although i've never met shoemoney personally, I think he is a good guy and he usually seems to have good intentions, however whenever he posts something on his blog, tens of thousands of people are going to read it, no matter what it is...and if its about something he doesn't know much about, its going to cause more harm then good. The arbitrage post is an example of that..and we all know how the famous saying goes... With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.
