So i've been maintaining a blog for a popular upcoming PC Game (news, rumors, art, funny stuff etc. Nothing new, really. Mostly just scraped/copy-and-paste stuff) for about 4 months now. The site has substantial number of indexed backlinks and ranks pretty good on G for certain keywords and get about 30 - 50ish UVs a day, and growing.

The problem is - I have no real way to monetize the traffic. I was banned from Adsense couple of months ago (and I'm not US based, YPN is out of the question). So the delimma I'm facing now is whether or not to sell the site or let it grow until the game's actually released, at which point I can stick on amazon affiliate. But honestly I'd rather build minisites and let them run on autopilot so I'm rapidly losing interest in maintaining this blog.

What do you guys think? Sell, or is this something worth holding into?

If this is an option for you, I'd suggest that you find a volunteer/low-paid person who's interested in the game to blog instead of you. This way, whichever option you choose, the site doesn't depend on your participation - so you can either let it run itself until the release, or sell it - saying that it will still run the same way under new ownership.

unless you built the blog on a smokin domain, i dont think your going to get much for a scraper site getting 30 to 50 uniques per day.

There are tons of adsense alternatives. Clicksor, Bidvertiser, etc. There are plenty of ways to monetize with contexual advertising w/o relying on Adsense.

It depends on a game. If the game is a cult (GTA) or has popular multyplayer (COD) then stick to the blog, however, if you have blog for a game that has only single player and is not going to attrack many people later (Assasin Creed) then sell that blog few days before/after the game is out. At that time there are always lots of fanboys or wannabe bloggers who will buy your bubble blog...
